Sharjah Safari Park

CONCEPT SKETCH
Al Dhaid . Sharjah

A groundbreaking safari park to educate and inspire

Home to 50,000 animals, Sharjah Safari Park is the largest safari project outside Africa. This cultural lighting scheme spans the conference centre, restaurant, and visitor interpretation centres for the aviary, lemur, crocodile, and lion. Light is used creatively for a truly immersive experience. Daylight propagation is studied to recreate the animals’ natural habitat. The lifesize crocodile sculpture springs to life. Visitors at Sharjah Safari Park meander through the lemur’s dappled forest floor. Props and displays are perfectly lit to encourage learning and interaction. Visual tasks and wayfinding are clear and comfortable – all whilst making sure that artificial light does not disrupt the welfare of the animals. The final result is an inspiring taste of the natural world and memories that will last a lifetime.
